2024 Annual Meeting

This last Thursday, June 13th, the annual HOA meeting was held at The Church on the Move. As usual, not enough homeowners were present for an official meeting, so a special meeting was called to take care of the annual business.

Old business that was discussed included:

Safety concerns at the main entrance
- Councilor Riley, for Ward 4 is checking with the city about installing blinking warning lights east of the neighborhood entrance in West 41st Street
The parking rules sign
- Changed to a smaller sign to increase visibility
Flock cameras in our area
Drainage issues greatly affecting some of our residents
The future of our grounds keeping
HOA management companies
Welcoming new residents
A discussion on our covenants

Some new business discussed included:

The upcoming 4th of July Parade
- Parade to continue as normal
New practice around Halloween
- No off duty police officers, instead, the HOA is requesting in increase in on duty patrols in our area on Halloween night.
Christmas Events
- Instead of caroling and Christmas light competition, the HOA is organizing a neighborhood party in conjunction with the North HOA
Adding a Little Free Library on one of the islands
- Once it is verified to be covered by insurance, an inexpensive version is planned to be constructed on one of the HOA islands.
The official launch of this website
- This website will last for the first year of paid subscription and then will go offline. If online dues payment and neighborhood updates are considered to be a net positive to the neighborhood, it may be voted on next year at the annual meeting to bring it online again.

As happens every year at this meeting, elections were held for the positions of President, Treasurer, and Secretary. The officers helping to run the HOA for this year are:
